Brachioplasty Colombia

Brachioplasty is the surgery to remove excess skin and fatty tissue in the arms, that is, between the armpit and the elbow.

Brachioplasty is performed mainly in people who have excess skin that prevents them from putting on their clothes comfortably, exercising freely, or who have dermatoses (allergies) on their arms.

How is Brachioplasty performed?

Brachioplasty is performed in the operating room, using general anesthesia, usually in both arms, incisions are made on the inside of the arms and armpit, all with the aim of hiding the scars and making them go unnoticed.

The brachioplasty procedure lasts approximately 3 hours, drains are left in both arms to prevent bleeding accumulation and an airtight closure is performed to obtain a good quality scar.

Dr Tomas Feria uses a special technique that hides the scar in the armpit and reduces the risk of wound complications, schedule a consult to know more!

How long does it take to recover from Brachioplasty?

Recovery is 20 days after a brachioplasty, in order to have the maximum time for wound healing before returning to work.

Brachioplasty Postoperative

After a brachioplasty, it is recommended to use a girdle with sleeves to improve lymphatic drainage and achieve better skin adhesion, reducing tension on the scar, all for at least 3 months, but 6 months is recommended.
